THANK 'YOU"

Thanksgiving…Giving Thanks…It is the acknowledgment of holding someone responsible. Did you THANK ‘YOU’ ?

In honor of this day, we praise and give thanks, first and foremost, to the Source of ‘All That Is’.

Graciously remember family, friends, and acquaintances for the significant and subtle things that have been done. Take a moment to appreciate all that has been attained… homes, cars, lives, children, jobs…everything that makes up the existence because it is all a gift.

In living your life consciously and unconsciously, you have been able to choose what you want. We powerfully create circumstances, the people in our lives, successes, triumphs, and heart breaks. Life is spent constantly evolving, even when it feels as if time is standing still. Some things take the breath away. Other things warrant a smile. Sadness, anger, and hurt are also markers along the journey.

Feeling emotion is vital to the experience as human beings. Rising above circumstance and negative emotion is the quest as spiritual beings. It is the intertwining of matter and spirit that produces such a high vibration for the words ‘Giving Thanks’. For that reason, remembrance of self is of utmost importance on this day. I believe Thanksgiving is an opportune time to acknowledge, who you are, who you have been, and who you are becoming.

As you travel the journey within this vessel called ‘the body’, regardless of what you consider its flaws or how it has changed over the years, it is a mandala of your life experiences. It holds, within its cells, a memory of all that has affected you emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically. It has been an armor of protection. It is a communication device that speaks through the manifestation of dis-ease and illness when you do not follow the inner voice. It is the part of you that gets abused the most and still nurtures and responds to every need.

Within the magnificent vessel is a strong spirit, one that rallies and supports you for the highest and best good. The spirit within subtly guides and teaches through your experiences, all that is grand about who you are. It shines through in talents and skills and beckons that you move beyond fear to realms greater than your ‘personality’ thinks possible. The guiding soul knows the perfection that you are, even when you cannot see it.

And then there is the ‘personality’, the many light and shadowy parts of you, that celebrates, defends, loves, fights, and stands as the face that you show the world. It knows all of your secrets and your insecurities. It gives you the ability to be strong and weak, vulnerable and rock solid. The personality is a beautiful stained glass image of who you are, splintered colors of the many facets that you posses and can express.

Finally, there is ‘identity’, your image to the world. It is the part of you that shields the real you from everyone else. It illustrates your honed talents. It is the part of you that gets up in the morning, every single day, to do what you do. It is the picture everyone else has painted of you as permanent, but can be changed in an instant if your soul dictates.

So on this blessed Thanksgiving Day, after you have expressed your gratitude to everyone else, take a quiet moment to see yourself. Look in the mirror and gaze upon the incredible masterpiece that you are…a beautiful work of art…a conglomeration of so much knowledge and experience… a quilt of memories…a mixed media that is ever changing, growing, and evolving. You are exactly where you are supposed to be and perfect in this moment. Just say ‘Thank You’ to you…

Until the next…Fashion Emergency!!!

Warmest regards,
